Legend & Light Records is an independent record label built around music with character, artists with their own identity, and the belief that no two creative journeys should have to look the same. We don’t believe an artist needs to fit into a predefined mold to belong somewhere. We believe the opposite.
The Beginning
It started with the music.
Legend & Light Records wasn’t created to become another anonymous name between an artist and an audience.
It grew from the desire to create a place where music can be developed, presented and released without losing the identity that made it worth listening to in the first place.
Different genres. Different stories. Different ambitions.
What connects them isn’t a particular sound.
It’s the determination to create something that has a voice of its own.
The Name
Where legend met light.
Legend & Light Records takes its name from the two musical projects that stood at its beginning.
Norn & Némaid represents the Legend — a world shaped by mythology, ancient stories, mysticism, and music that carries echoes of another time.
MasterMind Music represents the Light — the world of electronic music, illuminated by lasers, strobes, energy, and the pulse of a completely different musical universe.
At first glance, they could hardly seem further apart.
One looks toward legends and ancient worlds.
The other toward light, technology, and electronic sound.
And yet, together they became Legend & Light.
What began as a name inspired by the two founding projects soon became something greater: the philosophy behind the label itself.
That philosophy is also reflected in the Legend & Light Records crest.
The dragon represents wisdom and serves as an enduring reminder that, as a label, we must never forget where we came from.
The feather represents untamed freedom and creativity — and our promise never to restrict our artists‘ creativity, confine their artistic expression, or limit the space they need to create. It also stands for independence within belonging: being part of something without surrendering individuality.
Artists don’t need to sound alike to belong together.
They don’t need to share a genre, an aesthetic, or the same audience.
They need a place where their differences are understood as part of their identity rather than something that needs to be removed.
Legend and Light were never meant to become the same.
They were meant to exist side by side.
And from that idea, Legend & Light Records was born.
The Idea
Different doesn't have to mean separate.
A Celtic-inspired rock project and an electronic music project may have very little in common musically.
And that’s exactly the point.
Legend & Light isn’t intended to make artists sound alike, look alike or become variations of the label itself.
The label provides the framework.
The artist provides the identity.
That allows completely different musical worlds to exist under one roof without sacrificing what makes each of them distinctive.
The Artists Come First
The name on the release matters more than the name behind it.
An artist should remain recognizable as themselves.
Their music.
Their story.
Their visual identity.
Their audience.
Our role is to support the structure surrounding that work — not to replace it.
That means working together personally, communicating directly and making decisions with an understanding of the individual project rather than forcing every artist through the same process.
Because independence shouldn’t mean having to do everything alone.
More Than Distribution
Releasing music is only one part of the journey.
A release needs more than a file uploaded to a platform.
It needs context, presentation, reliable information, planning and a place where all of those pieces come together.
Legend & Light is building that structure around its artists and releases — connecting music, visual content, direct sales, documentation and meaningful insights instead of treating each of them as isolated parts.
Some of that structure already exists.
Some of it is still growing.
And that’s intentional.
We’d rather build what our artists actually need than promise a catalog of services nobody asked for.
Built for What Comes Next
We're building for growth — not pretending we have already arrived.

And the systems behind the label are being built to grow with them.
Not because bigger automatically means better, but because good structures allow more time to be spent where it actually matters:
